2016 - Origins
The founders started the journey with mobile robotics attending students research group KN Mechatron at Poznan University of Technology. First constructions were awarded in many local and international robotics competitions.
2018 - First quadruped
The first legged robot walked on its legs! The team achieved the goal and built a dynamic quadrupedal robot. It wouldn't have been possible without a great support from Krzysztof Walas, PhD. The unique movement abilities were noticed, and ideas for the next constructions were born.
2020 - MD80 introduction
Somebody asked us - Are you able to deliver a robotic actuator for me?
As a result, the first MD80 brushless motor controller was delivered and became a product. This year, we secured a pre-seed investment from YouNick Mint VC, accelerating our development.
2022 - Honey Badger becomes an MVP
The development pays off in the Honey Badger 3.0, and the robot was able to provide the first inspection run underground - inside heating distribution tunnels and water and sewerage canals in Poznań city.
2024 - We'll see :)
The year started with the Honey Badger 4.0 premiere. Later new products (MD20 and power management board) were introduced. It's midyear, so a lot more can happen.
2017 - First motor controller
The team could not find a perfect robotics actuator on the market for the upcoming projects, so they decided to develop a know-how and build one themselves. That’s how the first brushless motor controller was made.
2019 - Founding MAB Robotics
The team founded MAB Robotics as the first spin-off from the PUT university and the startup journey began. The second robot was created as a POC of the technology - inspection and maintenance platform.
2021 - Next ones
Technology development and startup growth significantly accelerated. Two versions of the Honey Badger were introduced and the company started to be visible on the market and recognized in startup competitions.
2023 - Growth
MAB's robotic actuators are used in mobile platforms not only on wheels or legs, but also in flying and swimming ones, all over the world. The company provides ultralight robotic arms to a customer and acquires the contract for quadrupeds delivery.
